How to Organize a Ketogenic Friendly Pantry and Fridge

10 dicembre, 2019 , , , ,

Someone who wants to follow a ketogenic diet knows that they must drastically reduce their consumption of carbohydrates and replace them with a different source of energy: fats.

Therefore, it will be necessary fairly quickly to do a good cleaning of one’s pantry and fridge, in order to simplify meal planning and preparation. It is obvious that when you follow a ketogenic diet, you will have to give up grain products (bread, pasta, cereals, etc.), starchy foods, legumes, products that contain added sugar (cookies, pastries) as well as many fruits and vegetables that are too “sweet”.

Your menu should include mostly sources of fat and quality protein, accompanied by a good amount of leafy greens. To help you organize yourself, we have prepared a list of foods to consume.

It will also be convenient for you to have simple snacks on hand that you can count on when you don’t have time to cook, such as: boiled eggs, canned tuna, salmon or sardines, cheese, avocado and nuts. For more elaborate snacks, please read our article on the TOP 5 Low-Carb Snacks.

Do you need more help? Subscribe to our strict ketogenic meal plans (with around 20g/day of net carbohydrates). You will not need to calculate anything, because we do all the calculations for you, in order to help you achieve your goals in an easy and stress-free environment.
